This week, before I could even begin making my tallow butter, I spent three days preparing one of its most important ingredients.
The tallow was gently washed in salted water, strained through double layers of cheesecloth, allowed to settle, and then the entire process was repeated... and repeated again. It wasn't the quickest method, but I wasn't looking for the quickest method. I was looking for the best result I could achieve.
As I continue my formulation studies, I've discovered that creating quality skincare is often less about finding shortcuts and more about understanding each ingredient and respecting the process. Sometimes the work no one ever sees is the work that matters most.
The same was true with my Hyaluronic Acid Day Cream. Before I measured a single ingredient, I spent three hours researching one small ingredient—hyaluronic acid powder. I wanted to understand not only how to use it, but when to add it, how to hydrate it correctly, and how it would behave within the formulation.

Customers will never see those hours of research or those three days of preparation. They'll simply experience a cream that feels beautiful on their skin. And that's exactly as it should be.
For me, formulation isn't just about making skincare. It's about continually learning, improving, and taking the time to do things properly—even when nobody knows how much work happened behind the scenes."
